About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Machine Polisher to join our vehicle preparation team. We prep 20–30 vehicles per week, ranging in age, condition, and colour, so attention to detail and the ability to assess each vehicle individually is essential.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating the condition of each car’s paintwork and carrying out machine polishing that suits the specific needs of the vehicle. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and presentation standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess paint condition and determine the appropriate polishing process
- Carry out machine polishing to remove defects such as light scratches, swirls, and oxidation
- Work across a variety of vehicles (age, colour, and condition varies weekly)
- Ensure all vehicles meet high presentation standards before sale
- Communicate any paintwork concerns or additional work requirements
- Maintain polishing tools, pads, and chemicals
- Work efficiently to support a prep volume of 20–30 vehicles per week, 5-6 per day.
Requirements
- Previous experience with machine polishing (DA/rotary)
- Strong eye for detail and paintwork assessment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced prep environment
- Understanding of different paint types and appropriate correction methods
