Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plastering techniques and be adept at working with various materials. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial projects. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster, rendering, and finishing surfaces to create smooth, durable finishes.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are free from dust and debris.
- Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications to achieve the desired consistency.
- Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Finish plastered surfaces to a smooth finish, ensuring all edges are neat and tidy.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and bricklayers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing basic repairs as necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry is essential.
- Familiarity with various plastering techniques and materials is required.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
- Knowledge of masonry work, bricklaying, or roofing is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- A valid driver’s licence may be beneficial for travel between job sites.
- Complete BPSS Security Vetting.
