Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Static Security Officer to safeguard our premises, assets, and personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through constant surveillance and proactive security measures. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the designated area to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Maintain constant surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Monitor access points and verify the identity of visitors or authorised personnel
- Respond promptly to security alarms or incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken
- Record all security-related activities accurately in logs and reports
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, following established protocols
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security monitoring equipment
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during emergencies or incidents
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic first aid knowledge is desirable but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
- Organised with the ability to complete detailed incident reports accurately
- Physically fit with the capacity to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly when needed
