Gain Education are looking for a committed and enthusiastic full time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a position starting from January 2026.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position will cover across the year groups up to year classes throughout this delightful Primary School in South East London. The position will include covering whole classes at times of Teacher PPA, as well as assisting small groups of children with maths and phonics.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Responsibilities:
- To teach various classes throughout the week, covering the class teacher.
- To act on their own initiative in preparing and supporting the various classes.
- To prepare and deliver whole lesson activities for small groups and the whole class.
- To develop and maintain professional relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will:
- Have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service.
- Have strong references that highlight your outstanding classroom ability.
- Have relevant experience supporting pupils in UK Primary Schools.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position is offered on a long-term, full-time contract basis with the option to progress into a permanent role.
