Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from ingredient sourcing to final plating
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise operational efficiency
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and teamwork
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
- Monitor cooking processes to guarantee dishes meet quality standards before serving
- Assist in the preparation of specialised dishes and participate in cooking when necessary
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Experience in hospitality or similar service industry roles is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu development
- Previous experience serving guests or customers in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
