Working for a dynamic family-owned and run security company offers varied work duties, with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills, for someone with good handyman skills and willingness to learn new skills.
Basingstoke-based Property Security Group are looking for a versatile security technician who will join a flexible team whose daily tasks may include:
- Assisting an installer to fit temporary security and CCTV cameras, scaffolding alarms and perimeter security detectors
- After training, install minor security camera systems and scaffolding alarms
- Undertake minor security works such as fitting padlocks or chains or boarding-up windows
- Vacant Property Security including escorting visitors
- Assisting fitting and maintaining scaffolding alarms
- Assisting fitting and maintaining intruder detection cameras
- Monitoring and reviewing camera activations on company smartphone, taking appropriate action to arrange response
Full training and support will be given.
This is a permanent day shift based in Basingstoke but our camera and scaffolding alarm installation and maintenance sites can be anywhere in the UK so good driving skills, using company vehicles, is essential.
Shifts are 4 days a week with two weekends a month required, with opportunities for occasional overtime. PAYE with pension.
Skills:
- A practical aptitude and basic handyman skills
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Basic knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Physical fitness
- Clean Driving Licence with minimal claims experience
- Willingness and comfortable using ladders
- Willingness and comfortable working on scaffolding
- Good eyesight and comfortable using basic IT
- Checkable work history (all staff are screened by external agency)
