DES Build Ltd is a growing construction and maintenance contractor, and we are looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative to join our expanding Small Works Division. This role will involve reactive maintenance and the delivery of small projects across a variety of occupied and unoccupied properties.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair works, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Typical duties will include:
- Reactive maintenance works across commercial properties
- Small project works from start to completion
- Multi-trade tasks including (but not limited to): carpentry, brickwork, basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, decorating, and minor electrical works (where qualified)
- Diagnosing faults and proposing effective solutions
- Liaising professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues
- Always ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
- Completing job records and reports accurately
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Have proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or similar role
- Be competent in several core trades
- Hold a full clean UK driving licence
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Take pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Have good communication and customer-facing skills
- Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
