Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will assist dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment advice and support
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules efficiently
- Support with administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
- Ensure the clinic environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- Good organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but training will be provided for trainees
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times
