Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sandwich Artist to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong organisational skills, and enjoy working as part of a team. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads according to company standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately and handling transactions with cash or card payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
- Upsell additional items such as drinks or snacks to maximise sales opportunities.
- Restock ingredients and supplies regularly to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Assist with general cleaning duties, including sanitising work surfaces and equipment.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or similar roles is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
