Roshni Birmingham is seeking an experienced Senior Support Worker to play a key role in delivering high-quality refuge services and supporting a team of frontline staff.

About the Role
You will support the Accommodation Based Services Manager to deliver a high-quality refuge and outreach service, combining direct, trauma-informed support with day-to-day operational leadership. The role will involve:
- Deliver direct trauma informed support including risk and needs assessments, support and safety planning, advocacy and group work.
- Maintain high standards of casework, record-keeping and documentation in line with policy and confidentiality requirements.
· Actively promote and follow safeguarding practice for adults and children, including recognising and responding to concerns, recording accurately, and reporting/escalating in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
· Support referral and refuge space allocation and coordinate effective case management, including case management meetings and quality checks.
· Supervise Support Workers through workload oversight, development, and performance support.
· Contribute to recruitment, induction, probation and staff training; deputise for the Services Manager when needed and help organise rotas and staffing cover.
· Maintain effective admin systems and records, supporting income collection and licence compliance.
· Help ensure properties meet required standards and Health & Safety/statutory requirements.
· Contribute to reporting and fundraising activity, respond appropriately to complaints, and build strong relationships with partner agencies and local/national networks.

This role combines direct support with leadership, quality assurance and service delivery responsibilities.
About You
- Experience of working as a Support Worker and supporting survivors of domestic abuse
- Knowledge of issues facing women, children and young people affected by Forced Marriage, Honour Based Abuse and No Recourse to Public Funds
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk and trauma-informed practice
- Experience supporting or leading staff within a service
- Ability to manage complex cases and competing priorities
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Commitment to equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice
Essential requirements
- Ability to speak at least one South Asian language
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a car

- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Out of hours rota with evenings and weekend work required
