Overview
We are seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to join our team in supporting the financial operations of our company. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in finance and accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This involves recording and organizing various financial documents such as invoices, expenses, and transactions.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
Assisting in processing invoices, payments, and receivables. Ensure that payments are processed accurately and on time, and that outstanding invoices are tracked and followed up as necessary.
As a Finance Assistants you will be required monitoring financial transactions and reconciling bank statements to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and that there are no discrepancies between internal records and bank statements.
Performing various administrative tasks such as managing spreadsheets, data entry, and managing correspondence related to financial matters supports the smooth functioning of the finance department.
- Customer and Vendor Communication:
Responding to inquiries from clients, vendors, and internal staff regarding financial transactions and records is often part of the role. As a Finance Assistants you may need to communicate with various stakeholders to clarify financial matters or resolve issues.
The future rope with training possibilities
Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets is part of the future role but training will be provided.
Payroll Processing: Supporting payroll processing is another responsibility. This involves gathering relevant data, inputting information accurately, and assisting in ensuring that payroll is processed correctly and on time.
Requirments:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters
- Problem-solving abilities to resolve discrepancies or issues
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the finance field
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
