Toddler Room Leader (Mini Moons 24–35 months)

We are seeking a passionate, patient and experienced Toddler Room Leader to lead our Mini Moons room (24–35 months)—a space full of curiosity, big emotions, rapid development and lots of “mine!” moments
About Our Toddlers:
Our two-year-olds are:
Rapidly developing language and communication skills
Learning about sharing, boundaries and emotions
Exploring schemas (like throwing, filling, emptying!)
Building independence while still needing lots of nurturing and reassurance
Every day is different, busy, and full of learning through play.
Your Role:
As Room Leader, you will:
Lead a busy toddler room with confidence and calmness
Understand that sharing is a learned skill, not an expectation
Support children through big emotions with patience and empathy
Create a safe, nurturing and structured environment
Plan engaging, open-ended activities based on children’s interests
Encourage communication using simple language and modelling
Support independence (toileting, feeding, self-help skills)

Are calm, playful, and full of energy
Know how to support schemas and exploration safely
Have a strong knowledge of child development
Can balance a busy room while keeping it calm and organised
Working with Parents:
Build strong, trusting relationships
Support families with:
Behaviour and boundaries
Toilet training and routines
Independence and development
Provide regular, honest and supportive updates
Leadership:
Lead and inspire your team
Be a role model of outstanding practice
Ensure high standards of care, learning and safeguarding
Support staff development and teamwork
Requirements:
Level 3 Childcare (or above)
Experience with 2–3 year olds
Previous leadership or senior experience preferred
A warm, patient and resilient personality
Pay: £13.30-£14.50 per hour
