Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team in the role of Fit out carpenter. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in various construction and maintenance trades. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a wide range of tasks that require technical expertise, physical stamina, and a proactive approach. This role is essential in supporting our ongoing projects and ensuring high standards of safety and quality across all operations.
Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction, repair, and maintenance tasks.
- Engage in carpentry work including framing, fitting, and finishing carpentry tasks as required.
- Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment around the site efficiently.
- Drive commercial vehicles for transporting materials or personnel between locations as needed.
- Execute masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and related activities to support building projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, specially shop fitting
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for construction and repair work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on a regular basis.
- Valid commercial driving licence preferred for driving company vehicles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
- Good physical fitness with the stamina to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory.
