Responsibilities
- Assist clients in selecting suitable eyewear based on their individual needs and preferences
- Provide detailed advice on lens types, frame styles, and optical features
- Conduct basic eye examinations and assessments in collaboration with optometrists when required
- Maintain accurate records of client prescriptions and preferences
- Support the laboratory team with lens fitting and adjustments as needed
- Educate clients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Ensure all customer interactions adhere to health and safety standards, including infection control protocols
- Keep the optical displays tidy, organised, and fully stocked with appropriate stock levels
Experience
- Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable, providing familiarity with lens processing and fitting procedures
- Knowledge of human anatomy related to the eye enhances the ability to advise clients effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Organised with strong attention to detail to manage multiple client needs efficiently
