Overview
We are seeking friendly and efficient Till and Serving Staff to join our busy chip shop team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry, working in a fast-paced environment where customer service and food preparation skills are essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring orders are processed accurately, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous restaurant experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Operate the till system efficiently, processing customer payments accurately and handling cash or card transactions.
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders at the counter.
- Plating food items according to company standards,maintaining food presentation.
- Upsell additional items to maximise sales and enhance customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, counters, and seating areas throughout shifts.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Assist with stock replenishment and organise food supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle busy periods smoothly.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills such as food preparation techniques and upselling strategies.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as required.
