Job Summary
To effectively support and monitor the work of the operational sections of the Company, to ensure that the ongoing works proceed efficiently and on schedule. Support the operations manager and director in all duties.
Responsibilities
1. To carry out site surveys using companies' digital software.
2. To support the Operation Management, to achieve the Company Operation requirements and be responsible for hitting KPI targets and maintaining compliance golden thread.
3. Oversee the daily works on site, ensuring timescales and quality standards are met.
4. Site visitations to induct sites, inspect ongoing works, sign off completed works and snag outstanding works and provide comprehensive progress reports for senior management team on weekly basis.
5. To ensure that Company Policies, Procedures and Standards are followed by adhering to the Company Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management System.
6. To liaise with the relevant management in regard to problems in achieving the Company Operation requirements and solutions.
7. To advise and consult with all relevant parties within the business and assist in identifying solutions to any Operation, Quality, Environmental or Health and Safety problems.
8. To carry out all training and development requested where appropriate.
9. Liaise with the office management team to schedule new works and upcoming projects.
10. To be responsible for the health and safety delivery on all company sites.
11. To be responsible for any Environmental aspects associated with their role
To constantly drive and implement a continuous improvement philosophy in all areas of responsibility, to train and develop others where appropriate.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
2. Good communication skills.
3. You must have relevant experience in this field, Knowledge and understanding of fire doors, fire stopping and general joinery and construction.
4. Show a track record of delivering projects in a similar role.
5. Have relevant industry qualifications for the role.
6. Be able to problem solve.
7. Be presentable and professional in appearance.
8. Be computer literate, knowledge of office 365 and experience working on operational Software.
9. Be able to work and manage on own initiative.
10. Experience of managing multiple sites teams and work contracts.
11. Be punctual and work to achieve KPI deadlines.
12. Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, Procedures, Instructions, and systems.
JUDGEMENT AND DECISIONS:
The job holder is responsible for liaising with the Management Team and clients to update project progress, track issues and manage operatives and subcontractors. Be responsible for determining that the company is performing to its agreed standards at each stage of the process by liaising effectively with all relevant parties.
The jobholders must be able to effectively communicate with the Management Team regarding performance against Company standards, which may affect the quality, safety or legal compliance of the products.
Be able to deal with conflict and/or arising issues onsite effectively and calmly with all parties.
ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
· The role is to encompass all aspects of Operation, quality, environmental and Health and Safety associated with Operation.
· The jobholder is expected to be able to appreciate 0peration, quality, environmental and Health and Safety priorities from a broad business perspective.
· The nature of the role demands a flexible approach to working hours.
· To travel to sites all over the UK as required, with some overnight stays.
The jobholder will act as a member of the site management group.
