MOT Tester Technician - Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused MOT Tester Technician to join a well-established and growing automotive business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester Technician to work in a fast-paced environment, carrying out MOT testing and mechanical repairs while benefiting from ongoing training and career progression.
As an MOT Tester Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance standards, delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
MOT Tester Technician - Duties
- Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations and standards.
- Complete servicing and mechanical repairs including brakes, exhausts and general vehicle maintenance.
- Perform tyre fitting and use alignment equipment, understanding readings and adjustments.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate findings clearly where required.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times.
MOT Tester Technician - Requirements
- Valid MOT Testing Licence is essential.
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester Technician or similar role within the automotive sector.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including servicing, tyres, brakes and suspension.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
