Zest Education is proud to be working with a warm, inclusive mainstream primary school in Stafford that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time, long‑term basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, confident working with SEN pupils, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support — Assist the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons across the curriculum.
- SEN Provision — Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, and SEMH.
- 1:1 Support — Work closely with identified pupils, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and build confidence.
- Small‑Group Interventions — Deliver structured programmes in phonics, reading, writing, or maths to help close learning gaps.
- Pastoral Care — Promote emotional wellbeing, model positive behaviour, and help pupils develop social skills.
- Collaboration — Work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
- Record‑Keeping — Contribute to progress notes, behaviour logs, and intervention tracking where required.

- Experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting
- Understanding of SEN strategies, including de‑escalation, visual supports, and differentiated learning
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Ability to commit to a long‑term, full‑time role
If you have experience with ASD support, ADHD strategies, or speech and language interventions, this will be highly valued.
