Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and proactive Social Value Coordinator to join our team and support the delivery of our social impact goals. Working closely with our Social Value Manager, you will help implement, manage, and monitor social value plans that align with our wider social impact strategy across a range of construction projects.
This role will focus on delivering our social value commitments in line with contract requirements and obligations, ensuring we meet what is required while also identifying and exploring opportunities to add further value to the partnerships we deliver.
You will engage with key stakeholders—including client partners, community organisations, and supply chain partners—to ensure we achieve meaningful and measurable outcomes. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting social value performance, helping to maximise our impact in the communities where we operate.
This is an office/site-based role with occasional travel required, depending on project locations and stakeholder engagement needs.
Salary Grade: Up to £29,000 - £38,000 depending on experience plus £4,000 car allowance
Working Hours: Full Time or a Minimum of 30 hours part time

Daily Responsibility
- Support the Social Value Manager in gathering and preparing content for social value plans during the procurement stage, including research into local demographics and initial community stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee delivery of time-bound, project-specific social value plans reflecting procurement commitments, as directed by the Social Value Manager.
- Collect and collate evidence to support monthly social value progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with project delivery teams to ensure full understanding and integration of social value commitments into daily operations.
- Work as part of the wider Social Value team, closely alongside the business unit’s operational team, to develop initiatives that enhance existing partnerships and support the creation of future ones—ensuring they align with the business unit’s strategic direction and operations. Collaborate with clients to scope and develop social value projects involving external stakeholders for relevant and impactful outcomes, using recognised frameworks such as the National TOMs (Themes, Outcomes, and Measures) Framework.
- Coordinate delivery of social value initiatives by liaising with operational leads, commercial teams, internal departments, and supply chain partners to allocate resources.
- Measure social value activity using the National TOMs Framework, ensuring accurate data capture for tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and submit monthly social value reports for clients and participate in client meetings to provide updates.
- Develop content for high-quality case studies showcasing social value achievements.
- Represent the business at educational events, promoting construction careers and raising awareness of social value work in local communities.
- Coordinate work experience placements in collaboration with schools and internal teams to provide meaningful opportunities for students.

- Understanding of data reporting and evidence gathering, particularly related to social value metrics.
- Methodical and organised approach to managing tasks, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills, confident in engaging with colleagues, clients, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Confident presenting skills, able to clearly communicate information to diverse audiences internally and externally.
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build strong working relationships at all levels, capable of capable of building rapport and trust with clients and community partners.
