Position: Permanent
Contract: Term Time Only: 25 hrs/week (Monday - Friday, 7.00am-9.00am - 3.00pm-6.00pm) 38 weeks a year
Location: Salisbury
Salary: £20,900 pro-rata, 25 hours a week (£31,350 FTE)

The Position
This exciting and rewarding role is responsible for leading and supervising Personal Best’s wraparound care provision (Breakfast Club and After-School Club) within a school setting. The Wraparound Supervisor will ensure the provision is safe, engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the school's ethos and Personal Best's values, whilst maintaining strong relationships with children, parents, school staff, and key stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Provision Leadership: Lead the day-to-day delivery of high-quality wraparound care provision, ensuring activities are engaging, child-centred, and support children's development, wellbeing, and enjoyment. Champion inclusive practices and ensure activities are accessible and supportive of children of all abilities, backgrounds, and individual needs.
- EYFS Leadership and Compliance: Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring provision for younger children meets statutory requirements and supports their learning and development needs.
- Safeguarding Leadership: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the wraparound provision, promoting a strong safeguarding culture and ensuring all concerns are recorded, reported, and escalated appropriately in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Health, Safety and Compliance: Maintain oversight of all health and safety requirements within the provision, ensuring risk assessments, operational procedures, and safe working practices are consistently implemented and reviewed.
- Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, food safety, allergen management, and nutritional requirements, maintaining accurate records and adhering to relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Support, supervise, and develop wraparound staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous professional development.
- Staff Coordination: Support staff deployment, rotas, and daily operational requirements to ensure appropriate staffing levels and the effective running of the provision.
- Provision Oversight and Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of provision through regular observations, reviews, and evaluation, ensuring consistently high standards of care, behaviour management, activity delivery, and child engagement.
- School Partnership Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the school's Senior Leadership Team, maintaining strong communication and collaboration to ensure the provision meets the needs of the school community
- Parent and Carer Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for parents and carers, building positive relationships, responding to enquiries, and ensuring effective communication regarding children's attendance, wellbeing, and development.
- Resource, food and Environment Management: Maintain and manage equipment, food stock, resources, and learning environments, ensuring they are safe, well-organised, and promote positive experiences for children.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A recognised childcare, education, playwork, or youth work qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and statutory requirements.
- Previous experience working within a wraparound care, childcare, school, or educational setting.
- Experience leading, supervising, or supporting a team of staff.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience in managing behaviour positively and creating inclusive environments for children.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within childcare or school settings.
- Understanding of food hygiene, allergen management, and food safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the provision.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and the well-being of all children.
- Competent in the use of basic IT systems for communication, record-keeping, and administration.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and continuous professional development.
- An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references will be required for this role.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training.
- Experience managing a breakfast club, after-school club, nursery, or similar childcare provision.
- Experience working in partnership with school leadership teams.
- Food Hygiene & Safety qualification.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and managing compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting staff development, training, and performance management.
