About Hey Savi
Hey Savi is redefining the way women search for fashion. Think Shazam meets Spotify — but for fashion. We're sparking a new era of fashion discovery, igniting confidence in everybody and every body, and creating a world where fashion confidence starts with "Hey Savi…". As a female-founded startup, we're at an exciting stage and shaping something truly game-changing in the world of fashion discovery.
Our community doesn't want to scroll through paid ads and dead-end links. They want fashion that fits — in stock, in their size, at the best price — with a search experience that puts them at the centre. We're creating a movement, not just a product, and we're looking for someone exceptional to own both the strategy and the craft of how it gets built.
The Role
This is a hands-on role (six-month initial contract) for a Product specialist who wants more than just a brief. Someone who wants to help shape a product from the ground up and have a real stake in where it goes.
You'll work directly with the founders to absorb their vision and customer insight, translate it into clear product requirements, and then drive those requirements all the way through to designed, shipped experiences. You bring both the product thinking and the design craft. The founders bring the vision, you bring the customer knowledge.
This is a doing role. You'll be writing specs, designing flows, reviewing builds, and keeping engineering moving. The founders will be closely involved in shaping direction, particularly in the early weeks, so you won't be flying blind — but you will be expected to take the ball and run with it quickly.
The perm pathway is real. If the fit is right, this role converts to a permanent Head of Product & Design with a competitive salary, meaningful equity, and full ownership of the function.
What You'll DoProduct Requirements & Discovery
-
Work directly with the founders to understand product vision, business goals, and customer insight — they'll be an active partner in this, not a passive stakeholder
-
Translate founder and customer input into clear, actionable requirements that design and engineering can execute on
-
Own the documentation — specs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria so nothing gets lost between conversation and delivery
-
Keep the backlog prioritised and the team focused on the highest-impact work
Hands-On UI/UX Design
-
Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI yourself in Figma.
-
Create experiences that are intuitive, on-brand, and built to scale
-
Iterate quickly based on feedback, data, and your own instinct for what works
-
Begin laying the foundations of a design system that will grow with the product
Team Collaboration
-
Work closely with our iOS, web and Android team to ensure requirements and designs are feasible, well understood, and delivered to spec
-
Provide clean, detailed handoffs and stay engaged through implementation
-
Flag issues early, iterate in real time, and keep delivery moving
User-Centred Thinking
-
Keep the end user front and centre in every product and design decision
-
Contribute to lightweight research and usability testing where needed
-
Use customer feedback and data to continuously improve the experience
Growth Thinking
-
Bring awareness of how product and design decisions affect acquisition, engagement, and retention
-
Work alongside our Head of Data to champion the meaningful metrics that we look at every day
-
Think about stickiness — what makes customers come back to Hey Savi as part of their routine
How You'll Work
-
With Founders: Regular, close collaboration, they'll be actively involved in shaping requirements and direction; your job is to structure, execute, and deliver on that input
-
With Engineering: Daily partnership to ensure what gets designed gets built right
-
With Customers: Engagement with user feedback and research to keep decisions grounded in real needs
-
With the Backlog: Ownership of prioritisation, ensuring the team is always working on what matters most
Requirements
A Strong Product & Design Generalist
You're comfortable holding both the PM and design remit — not necessarily equally expert in both, but capable and confident across the full arc from requirements to shipped UI. You might lean more design or more PM by background; what matters is that you can do both to a high standard in a startup context.
Hands-On and Execution-Focused
You can take a direction and run with it. You don't need a fully formed brief or a team beneath you. You're used to working lean and delivering quickly without dropping quality.
Solid B2C Product Experience
You've designed or shipped consumer-facing digital products before and understand what makes them work for users and for the business. You don't need to have scaled a rocket ship, but you need to have built things real people use.
A
Collaborator with Founders
You're comfortable working directly with founders, absorbing their thinking, pushing back constructively, and translating vision into something buildable. You're a partner, not just an executor.
Startup-Minded
You thrive in early-stage environments. You're comfortable with ambiguity, energised by ownership, and focused on impact. You know that things change fast and you adapt without drama.
Clear Communicator
You write specs engineers can build from and present design decisions with a clear rationale. You bring clarity to ambiguous situations rather than waiting for someone else to provide it.
