Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist with setting up tables and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and food safety standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with serving procedures, food safety regulations, and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial in understanding food presentation and safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service
