Mobile Powered Access Engineer About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join a well-established, nationwide provider of powered access and plant equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team within a reputable and expanding organisation.
As a mobile engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of powered access equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, compliant, and fully operational for hire customers.
Mobile Powered Access Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on powered access equipment
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently both on-site and in the field
- Conduct PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspections) to ensure equipment is hire-ready
- Perform LOLER inspections in line with current regulations
- Attend customer sites to respond to breakdowns and provide technical support
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
Mobile Powered Access Engineer What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working with powered access, plant, or material handling equipment
- IPAF and CAP certification (essential)
- NVQ qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a mobile engineering role is advantageous
Mobile Powered Access Engineer What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary of £42,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience). With paid travel and overtime, the successful engineer can expect to earn £60,000+ annually
