Safety Critical Role
Responsible for maintaining all aspects of harbour vessels, with regular servicing of the engines, repair work, breakdowns and fault finding. Successful candidate will also be an integral part of the crew of all the harbour vessels.
Successful candidate must be flexible and able to work unsocial hours.
Essential Criteria:
- Have successfully completed MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC1 & AEC2) or equivalent.
- Minimum two years relevant experience.
- Hold a Seafarer medical certificate (Eng. 1 or 11) - can be arranged prior to appointment.
- Knowledge of health and safety with an industrial environment.
- Must be able to able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Basic IT skills to include experience using MS Office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and other IT systems such as Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and online training platforms.
- Full current driving licence or access to a form of transport to enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post in full.
- Hold an advanced English language certificate issued by the British Council or an International Language Testing System (IELTS) test report showing overall band of at least 6 or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria
- Hold a relevant STCW recognised engineering certificate of competency.
