Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Duty Manager / Floor Supervisor to take responsibility for the smooth running of shifts in our busy restaurant and bar.
You will lead the front-of-house team, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high operational standards. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can take charge, make decisions under pressure, and support both staff and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of shifts
- Lead, supervise, and support floor staff during service
- Ensure high standards of customer service are delivered at all times
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-spot guidance
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health & safety standards
- Support staff training and onboarding where required
- Step in and assist across all areas (floor, bar, service) as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior floor role within hospitality
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of restaurant and bar operations
- Reliable, organised, and confident in managing a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience as a Duty Manager or Supervisor in a busy venue
- Knowledge of stock control and basic reporting
- Personal licence (if applicable)
