Farrington Care Homes Ltd operates a number of care and nursing homes across the UK, specialising in Elderly Care, Nursing Care, and Dementia Care.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dependable Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Carlton House Residential Care Home. We are looking for a strong senior member of staff who can support the home in delivering high-quality care and confidently assist with the safe administration of medication.

About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, wellbeing, and choice. You will work closely with the wider care team, lead by example, and help ensure excellent standards of care are maintained throughout the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support to residents
- Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Safely administer and manage medication in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Support and guide care staff during shifts
- Promote residents’ privacy, dignity, independence, and rights at all times
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
- Follow care plans and ensure care is delivered in a person-centred manner
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
- Assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home
- Represent the home professionally when dealing with enquiries and visitors
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant within an elderly care home environment
- Experience administering medication and completing medication records
- Good understanding of care planning and person-centred care
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and teamwork abilities
- Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated
- Professional, caring, and compassionate approach
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
- Medication administration training is advantageous
- Further training and development opportunities will be provided
