People Partner – HR Business Partner
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme (Hybrid – 2–3 Days in the Office)
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Pay Rate: PAYE: £19.81 per hour or Umbrella: £26.38 per hour
Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced People Partner to join a busy Human Resources team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience who enjoys providing practical advice and supporting managers across a wide range of people matters.
Role Overview
As a People Partner, you will provide professional HR support across the organisation, with a particular focus on employee relations, policy development, and advising managers on complex workforce issues.
This role is operational rather than project-based, making it ideal for someone with strong generalist HR experience who is confident handling disciplinary and other employee relations cases from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters
- Lead and support disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases
- Ensure HR policies are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice
- Review, update, and develop HR policies and procedures
- Coach and support managers to build confidence in managing people issues
- Maintain accurate case records and produce professional documentation and reports
- Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to deliver an effective people service
- Ensure compliance with employment law and organisational policies
Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential)
- Proven experience in a generalist HR or People Partner role
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Significant employee relations experience, particularly managing disciplinary processes
- Experience reviewing and updating HR policies
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise competing demands
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working with 2–3 days per week in the office
- Monday to Friday
- 37 hours per week
