From pre‑assessment to discharge and aftercare, our outpatient nurses play a vital role in ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.
We are now looking for an experienced Bank Outpatient Nurse to join our team and help us deliver the highest standards of care.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of our outpatient service, you will:
- Provide clinical support to patients from pre‑assessment through to post‑operative aftercare
- Work autonomously, managing your own caseload and following up on investigations for more complex patients
- Take detailed patient histories and assess health needs, including airway and cardiac assessments
- Carry out a range of clinical procedures such as dressings, suture removal, swabs, venepuncture and more (you must be venepuncture trained and competent)
- Assist with minor cosmetic surgical procedures and ensure safe, smooth patient flow
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, infection control and clinic readiness
- Deliver clear, compassionate communication to patients, relatives and the wider clinical team
- Support patient education by providing accurate, accessible information
- Contribute to clinical audits, evidence‑based practice and continuous improvement if required
- Ensure patient safety and uphold CQC standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner with a specialism and proven experience in perioperative care, applicants without perioperative expertise will not be considered
- Strong pre‑assessment experience
- Experience with plastic surgery and orthopaedics would be highly advantageous, especially in wound care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident clinical decision‑maker with a holistic approach to care
- Skilled in ECGs, venepuncture, airway and cardiac assessments
- A 5‑star customer service mindset as we are a premium provider
- Calm, organised and able to problem‑solve in a busy outpatient setting
- Flexible, positive and committed to delivering exceptional patient care
- Experience in the private sector is helpful but not essential
