Main duties include:
- To plan and deliver high quality Wake up Club & Afterschool Club care sessions that fall in line with the Active8 Minds delivery standards, policies and procedures.
- Completing full Risk Assessments before and after setting up the activity
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools and childcare and play related agencies.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures
- Manage a small team efficiently and effectively
Essential Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum Level 2 relevant qualification
- Experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds
- Experience of administration
- Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
- Understanding the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care
Desirable Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience:
- Appropriate Level 3 qualification
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Appropriate child protection training
- Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate
