Behaviour Mentor – Primary School

Pay: £100 - £110 per day
Job Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor or someone with a strong background in supporting children with behavioural needs? We are seeking a proactive and caring individual to join a friendly primary school where you will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with children who require additional behavioural support, providing guidance, encouragement, and consistent strategies to help them succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils in developing self-regulation skills
- Implement behaviour support plans and strategies in collaboration with teachers and SEN staff
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Encourage engagement in learning and support pupils in achieving their individual targets
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs, either in schools, youth work, residential care, mentoring, or similar settings
- A good understanding of positive behaviour management approaches and de-escalation techniques
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children from a range of backgrounds
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people to reach their potential
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
