Job Overview
As a Field Service Engineer (FSE) at GRIDSERVE, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and operation across the operating portfolio, which includes but not limited to EV Charging, Solar PV and BESS. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across the GRIDSERVE operating assets, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Act as a Field Service Engineer for installation, maintenance, and repair of EV charging, Solar and BESS infrastructure.
- Support the onboarding of new sites into operational status, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to the Operations & Maintenance Management (OMM) team.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Carry out duties according to our company on call rota system
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of service activities using company systems and reporting tools.
- Promote a positive and proactive “can-do” culture, working collaboratively within the team and independently when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role within electrical or EV infrastructure industries.
- EV technical training related to charging infrastructure installation and maintenance.
- Solar PV and BESS experience
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations relevant to electrical and field service work.
- Proficient in using diagnostic, troubleshooting tools, and IT systems (MS Office, email, asset reporting software).
- Adaptable and flexible approach with willingness to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally work away from home.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and coach colleagues.
- Positive, proactive attitude and ability to manage changing priorities and work autonomously.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
