Job DescriptionAbout the role
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Relief Pharmacist to support our network of community pharmacies across South West London - Wandsworth, Morden, Kingston, Wimbledon, Tooting, Clapham, Earlsfield.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a robotics-led pharmacy group, where much of the dispensing, including bulk prescriptions and blister packs, is handled off-site through automation. This means you’ll spend less time on repetitive dispensing and more time delivering services, engaging with patients, and supporting teams across our branches.
What you’ll do
- Provide clinical and operational support across multiple branches within the group.
- Ensure safe, effective, and professional pharmacy services in line with GPhC standards.
- Deliver and grow a wide range of NHS services (Pharmacy First, hypertension, contraception, vaccinations) and private services.
- Support branch teams in maintaining compliance, governance, and excellent patient care.
- Build strong working relationships with GPs, PCNs, and local communities.
- Help drive business performance and promote new service opportunities.
- Adapt quickly to different pharmacy settings, systems, and teams.
What we’re looking for
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
- We welcome newly qualified pharmacists eager to learn and develop in a supportive environment.
- Confident working independently and across multiple sites.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of NHS services and private healthcare.
- Flexible, proactive, and comfortable with technology and robotics in pharmacy operations.
- Engaging, adaptable, and able to demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork skills across different teams.
Rewards & benefits
- Holiday entitlement: 20 days + 8 bank holidays.
- 20% staff discount across all branches.
- Professional fees paid: GPhC, indemnity insurance, and service accreditations.
- Private medical insurance.
- Company pension scheme.
- Flexible reward package including retail discounts, cycle-to-work, and salary-sacrifice pension.
- Wellbeing support and recognition awards.
Why join us?
This is not a typical relief role. You’ll work within a forward-thinking group that uses automation and digital technology to free up pharmacists’ time for clinical care, service delivery, and business growth.
It’s also an excellent development opportunity within a growing company. Many of our relief pharmacists have progressed to become regular branch pharmacists or pharmacy managers, supported by our structured development and leadership programmes.
To excel in this role, you’ll need to be proactive, engaging, and confident in leading and supporting teams in different branches. If you’re looking for a role that combines professional growth, flexibility, and leadership development, this is the perfect opportunity.
