We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Hachiko.
This role is for someone who already understands how a busy kitchen works and can support the chefs during service. You will help with preparation, starters, keeping the kitchen organised, and making sure service runs smoothly.
We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position and is serious about becoming a reliable part of the team. This is not suitable for someone looking for short-term work only.
There is also the opportunity for more days and extra hours for the right person as the role develops.
What you’ll be doing:
· Supporting chefs during busy service
· Preparing starters and basic prep items
· Helping with food preparation before and during service
· Keeping work areas clean, safe, and organised
· Following instructions quickly and accurately
· Maintaining good hygiene standards
· Working as part of a focused kitchen team
What we’re looking for:
· Previous kitchen experience is required
· Looking for a long-term position
· Hardworking, reliable, and punctual
· Able to work well under pressure
· Fast, clean, and organised
· Good attitude and strong work ethic
· Willing to learn and improve
· Able to take direction from chefs
· Fridays and Saturdays are mandatory
· Interested in growing into more days/hours over time
This position is best suited to someone who wants to be part of a serious kitchen team and develop their skills over time.
