An electrical and fabrication business it specialises in the Power Infrastructure sector where it designs, fabricates, builds and fits out steel modular building including manufacturing the internal electrical devices. We are seeking motivated Assembly Operatives specialising to build the steel modular buildings. This role involves working within a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the efficient assembly of high-quality modular structures. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring products are assembled accurately and safely, adhering to company standards and specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands on engineering to start with the company and advance. The company has a full order book well into 2027 supplying substations to battery storage, windfarms, solar farms and general infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Assemble modular building components using hand tools and power tools according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, ensuring they meet required standards before progressing to the next stage.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from warehouse storage areas.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders is desirable.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing environments, particularly within warehouse settings, is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure precision in assembly tasks.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude towards health and safety procedures.
