The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will lead on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the health and social care sector. You will work closely with commissioners, local authorities, NHS trusts, and internal teams to grow sustainable services aligned with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across adult social care (e.g. supported living, domiciliary care, complex needs).
- Lead tendering and bid writing processes for local authority and NHS contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, funding streams, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Work with operational teams to develop innovative service models and proposals.
- Achieve growth targets in line with business strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record in business development within social care or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the UK health and social care commissioning landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience in leading successful bids/tenders for public sector contracts.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to deliver results and build long-term partnerships.
