Mploy Healthcare are currently recruiting for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a supportive and dynamic team working within community and home settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals in maintaining independence, promoting wellbeing, and enabling safe hospital discharges through person-centred and strength-based approaches.
In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality assessments, interventions, and rehabilitation support for adults with a range of physical, cognitive, and social care needs.
Starting at £30ph and up to 37 hours available a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments within community and home environments.
- Assess mobility, personal care, cognition, and environmental needs to support independence.
- Recommend and prescribe specialist equipment and adaptations.
- Support safe and timely hospital discharges and prevent unnecessary admissions
- Manage a varied and complex caseload effectively.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
- Carry out risk assessments and promote positive risk-taking approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Current HCPC registration
- RCOT membership
- Previous experience within adult health or social care settings
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and risk management skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding, reablement, and delayed discharge processes
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
