Blackpool Zoo welcomes thousands of visitors every season and behind every great day out is a clean, safe and welcoming environment. We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Seasonal Cleaner to join our team and help keep the zoo looking its best during our busiest periods.
This role is primarily focused on cleaning and maintaining our public toilet facilities across the site, ensuring they remain hygienic, well-stocked and pleasant for guests throughout the day. You’ll also support general cleaning duties around the zoo, helping to maintain high standards across public areas.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Cleaning and maintaining public toilet facilities to a high standard throughout operational hours
- Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels and toilet paper
- Carrying out routine and reactive cleaning in public areas, cafés, staff areas and offices
- Responding promptly to spills, accidents or urgent cleaning needs during busy periods
- Working both indoors and outdoors, often while the zoo is open to visitors
- Representing Blackpool Zoo positively by being friendly, approachable and professional
What We’re Looking For
- A flexible and reliable approach to work – this is essential
- Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays and peak visitor periods
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A practical “get stuck in” attitude and good attention to detail
- Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
About the Hours
This is a zero-hours seasonal role, meaning hours vary depending on visitor numbers, weather and events. Some weeks will be busier than others, making this ideal if you’re looking for flexible work that changes with the season.
