Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily duties.
Duties
- Drive a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit.
- Conduct routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery duties, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
