About the Role
PB Asher is one of Europe's fastest-growing independent marine diesel engine specialists, providing spare parts, workshop services and field service support to ship operators around the world.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised and ambitious Sales Coordinator to become the backbone of our commercial team.
This is not simply an administration role. It is designed as the first step towards becoming an Account Manager within the business. You will gain exposure to every stage of the sales process, working closely with customers, suppliers, engineers and senior management, developing the knowledge and commercial skills required to manage your own customer accounts in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Enquiries
- Monitor incoming sales enquiries via email.
- Acknowledge customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure customers receive regular updates throughout the quotation process where required.
CRM Management
- Enter all enquiries accurately into the CRM system.
- Allocate enquiries to the appropriate Commercial Manager following review by the Group Commercial Director.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
- Monitor outstanding enquiries and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
Sales Administration
- Produce quotations for routine workshop services.
- Prepare revised quotations where scope or pricing changes.
- Assist the commercial team with general quotation preparation and documentation.
- Sales to Operations Handover
- Once an order is received, prepare the project handover.
- Transfer all relevant commercial information from the CRM into Trello for the Operations team.
- Ensure Operations have complete and accurate information to begin planning and execution.
Job Costing
- Finalise completed field service job costs using the PB Asher Field Planner software.
- Reconcile labour, expenses and materials against Sage.
- Prepare completed job cost summaries for Commercial Director review prior to invoicing.
- Customer Experience
- Contact customers following project completion.
- Issue customer feedback questionnaires.
- Record feedback and highlight opportunities for improvement.
Commercial Support
- Assist the Group Commercial Director with travel planning and diary coordination where required.
- Provide general commercial administration support.
- Assist with reports, customer information and sales documentation
- Attend exhibitions and some client meetings
What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
- Comfortable using IT systems and keen to learn new software.
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Interested in building a long-term career in sales & account management.
Experience with CRM systems, Sage or Microsoft Office would be beneficial but is not essential.
Career Development
This role has a clear progression pathway.
As your technical knowledge, commercial understanding and customer relationships develop, you will be given increasing responsibility, with the aim of progressing into an Account Manager position managing your own portfolio of customers.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
