Our client has an immediate vacancy in their Gloucester office for an Experienced or Principal Civil Engineer.
The role
This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for ensuring engineering output is delivered to the highest technical and quality standards. You will also play a key role in the commercial management of projects and overall design quality assurance.
Our client is highly active across commercial and social housing, care homes, renewable energy projects (notably wind farms), industrial and commercial developments, and land remediation, and is also actively developing its presence within the rail sector.
With projects located across the UK—primarily in South Wales and the South West of England—this role requires a confident and supportive engineer who can work closely with the design team while engaging effectively with clients.
What you’ll be doing
You will undertake technical design and reporting work, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills. The role will involve the design of drainage, highways, and civil infrastructure, along with familiarity with relevant adoption processes for highway authorities and water utilities.
What we’re looking for
- Strong working knowledge of MicroDrainage, Flow, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum 8 years’ UK post-graduate experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Chartered or near-Chartered Engineer status
- Ambition to progress toward a Director-level role in the near future
