The Security Team is responsible for the safeguarding of the collection, historic and commercial properties, staff and volunteers, and tenants and visitors across Harewood. Operating 24/7 in 12 hour shift rotation, the team is responsible for managing the control room, monitoring CCTV, responding to alarms and notifications, locking and unlocking buildings, providing a presence at events, during location filming and conducting routine patrols of the Estate and House.
We are now seeking permanent and casual Security Wardens to help with the running of these operations.

Role Profile
· Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all buildings and facilities across Harewood.
· Gain a comprehensive understanding of all security and emergency response procedures and be able to confidently undertake them as required.
· Set and monitor CCTV, intruder and fire alarms and coordinate responses and compile reports.
· Issue keys and radios to staff; deal with telephone calls, emails and calendars, meet and direct contractors, and manage access control via gate intercoms.
· Provide a rapid response in an emergency, working with the Senior Management Teams and ensure emergency response procedures are followed.
· Provide a locking and unlocking service, including internal security shutters and barriers.
· Provide a security presence at events including weddings, exhibition private views and evening events, in addition to providing security for location filming.
· Assist with compliance testing i.e. emergency light tests, fire safety etc. across the site and that compliance records are kept up to date.
· Log incidents, produce reports, attend team and operations meetings as required
· You will be required to wear a uniform while on duty.
Skills and Experience required
- Experience in the security industry - Essential
- Experience in heritage or estate sectors - Desirable
- SIA Door Supervisor license holder - Essential
- CCTV license - Desirable
- Proven experience in security breach prevention and emergency response - Essential
- Proven experience with CCTV, access control systems and security monitoring - Essential
- Building effective team working relationships - Essential
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused mindset - Essential
- Excellent time management and organisational skills - Essential
- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills especially in high-pressure situations - Essential
- Proficiency in MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) - Desirable
