Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Removals Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting clients' belongings to their new locations, ensuring a smooth and efficient moving process. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including 3.5T vans, to transport goods and personal belongings.
- Zero Hour Contract - on an as and when basis
- Load and unload items with care, ensuring all possessions are secured and protected during transit.
- Assist with packing and organising items in the vehicle for optimal space utilisation.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including signatures and relevant documentation.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during operations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is beneficial.
- Proven ability to operate a 3.5T Van or similar commercial vehicle licence is essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with logistics, route planning, and time management will be advantageous.
- Candidates should demonstrate organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
