Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, seasonal Housekeeping Assistant to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, communal areas, and workspaces according to established standards
- Change bed linens, towels, and replenish supplies as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support with basic cooking or food preparation tasks if required for specific roles or events
- Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests and enquiries
- Perform janitorial duties such as waste disposal, floor care, and surface cleaning in both public and private areas
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour for delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
