Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commi Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs in meal preparation and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are adhered to
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by assisting with various tasks as required
- Serve food to customers when necessary, ensuring a high standard of service and presentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong interest in cooking and food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit
