Drivers are a vital part of our organization. Each driver is responsible for working with fellow Team Members and Management; in a joint effort to ensure our customers are the number one priority by making each interaction a positive one and building a memorable relationship with each event. Drivers perform their daily responsibilities and contribute to the Company’s overall goal of operating efficiently, effectively and profitably.
The position of Class 1 Trunk Driver has arisen within our Argyll depot. The successful candidate must be motivated, great customer service skills and have an excellent work ethic.
Main Roles & Responsibilities:
- Shunting vehicles safely within the depot
- Operating a forklift (where required)
- Collecting and delivering freight (as role develops)
- Demonstrating good health and safety practices at all times
- Assisting with loading and scanning of your own and other vehicles
- Ensuring high standards of housekeeping within the depot
- Manual handling duties
- Using electronic devices for scanning and proof of delivery (PODs)
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in a similar role (shunting/forklift/trunking)
- Clean driving licence
- ADR qualification
- Forklift licence/experience
Required:
- Cat C+E Licence (held for a minimum of 2 years)
- Valid CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Forklift Certificate
