Castle School of English is recruiting an experienced, motivated and organised Accommodation and Administration Officer to join our team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves working as part of a team and has a positive attitude. This is a small team and we are looking for a flexible, multi-skilled person who is happy to undertake a variety of roles as required
The Role
Accommodation
- Responsible for the organisation of accommodation for language school students from around the world, ensuring that accommodation meets students’ needs as closely as possible
- Primary interface between accommodation service providers (homestays and student residences), ensuring appropriate and timely communication and resolving issues where necessary
- Arranging transfers for students from airports to accommodation/school
- Recruiting new homestay providers and student accommodation providers, and onboarding them with the relevant documentation and legal/safety certification
- Managing the homestay visitor who visits homestay providers prior to and during hosting
- Maintaining up-to-date records of all host families on the database
- Checking accommodation payments when appropriate and dealing with any queries concerning homestay and hotel/residence accounts
Administration
- Assist with student administration, such as bookings, queries, induction and general customer service
- Responsible for ensuring the buildings are up to date and compliant with regulations regarding fire, maintenance etc and ensuring any remedial actions are carried out
Qualifications and Skills
- Capable of using your own initiative
- Able to manage a heavy workload at points during the year (the business is very seasonal and we work flexibly around that)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- A positive attitude
- Excellent customer service, accurate and efficient data entry skills and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience of working with children/teenagers
- Experience working in a language school
- Knowledge of other languages

Salary £26-£28,000 pro-rata depending on experience. We expect this role to be around 30 hours per week but there is some flexibility
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
