JAM Staffing Solutions are recruiting for a food production company based in Newport, supplying high-quality food products to customers across the region. We are looking for a reliable and organised Picker / Administrator to join our team and support both warehouse and office operations.
Role Overview
This is a varied role combining order picking duties within our production and warehouse environment with administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and in an office setting.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking & Warehouse Duties
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Check products against order specifications.
- Label, pack, and organise orders ready for shipment.
- Assist with stock control and inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Support goods-in and goods-out processes.
Administrative Duties
- Process orders and update internal systems.
- Prepare delivery notes, invoices, and other documentation.
- Input and maintain accurate customer and stock records.
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Liaise with production, warehouse, and transport teams.
- Assist with general office administration tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, administration, or similar role preferred.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive and flexible attitude.
