Role overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Security Controller, you will assist the Main Controller with the alarms and CCTV monitoring of all sites owned by JD Sports Fashion PLC. You must ensure that all alarms are dealt with expeditiously and key stakeholders are informed of incidents.
Responsibilities:
To deal with alarm activations efficiently and update the relevant stakeholders
To ensure that all procedures in relation to the ARC are followed and escalated where necessary
To liaise with the Police/fire in relation to alarm activations
To use Technical Knowledge to assist with intruder alarm setting and activations
To update Key holders and ensure checks are made to confirm identity
To monitor CCTV in stores and report issues to the relevant manager
To prepare and send nightly reports on issues
To identify faults and escalate to Security Tech recording the incident number
To adhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelines
To carry out weekly checks as per the schedule
To be professional and courteous at all times
To undertake any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business
To produce footage for the group as requested and ensure compliance with GDPR
Skills and Experience:
Experience of working to health and safety requirements
Excellent computer literacy skills as all information is recorded on databases
Able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Works well as part of a team; supportive of others and to supplement the Duty Controller
Communicates effectively both written and oral
Respond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environment
Experience of working in the security industry / Alarm Receiving Centre is essential
Pass the exam to the required standard once training completed
