Role Overview
As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering multiple electrical contracts from inception through to completion. You will play a key role within the Delivery Team, ensuring that all contracts are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and industry regulations.
Starting Salary: £40,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Manage and coordinate multiple electrical contracts, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Oversee works planning, scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation across all assigned contracts
- Monitor works progress, performance, costs, and profitability against agreed budgets and deadlines
- Ensure effective works delivery by identifying potential risks, resolving issues proactively, and implementing corrective actions where required
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and contract performance
- Coordinate labour resources and subcontractors to meet deadlines and requirements
- Maintain regular communication with engineers ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of works
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Attend client meetings both remotely and in person, providing regular updates and ensuring client expectations are met
- Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related enquiries, ensuring excellent customer service throughout the works lifecycle
- Support business growth by identifying additional opportunities within existing client accounts
Technical Support & Engineering Coordination
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, and internal team members
- Conduct comprehensive works handovers to engineers before work commences, ensuring all technical, commercial, and operational requirements are clearly understood
- Review specifications, drawings, and scope of works to ensure works are delivered in accordance with client requirements and industry standards
- Assist with resolving technical queries and site-related challenges throughout works delivery
Site Operations & Quality Assurance
- Carry out regular site visits to monitor works progress, quality of workmanship, and working to deadlines
- Conduct pre-start site surveys and audits to assess works requirements and identify any potential issues prior to mobilisation
- Ensure all work activities comply with relevant legislation, industry regulations, and company procedures
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all works
Commercial & Financial Management
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, and variations for new and existing works
- Monitor works expenditure and ensure contracts remain commercially viable and profitable
- Review and manage variations, additional works, and contractual changes with clients where required
- Support invoicing, valuations, and final account processes to ensure timely financial completion of works
Compliance & Health & Safety
- Ensure all works are delivered in full compliance with current electrical regulations, company policies, and client specifications
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all contracts
- Ensure all works documentation, certifications, and compliance records are completed and maintained accurately
- Ensuring that RAMS and all other relevant reports are completed and approved before work begins
Qualifications Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical qualification or equivalent
- 2391 Periodic Inspection and Testing
- 18th Edition
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in Contract Management
- Knowledge of EV installations and EICR’s in both domestic and commercial settings
- Full Uk driving license and willingness to travel
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Experience managing client relationships
- IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word, ability to use an internal CRM system
