Press-Brake Operator. On a Temporary to Permanent Basis
Duties:
To set and run presses to produce both cosmetic and non-cosmetic pressings to an agreed quality standard and component drawing, utilising machinery, and equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible. You will need good understanding of the Sheet Metal processes.
Skills/Requirements of the press brake operator/setter/programmer
- Experienced in programming and running the following Press-Brakes, Amada & Durma. ( Upgrade pending)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and use your experience to advise on the best way possible to manufacture the product for the internal customer.
- Excellent communication skills
- Main Duties of the Press-brake Operator /Setter/Programmer:
- · Produce good quality components on time
- · Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings
- · Use a CNC controller to input information into machine
- . Able to work confidently alone, also teach others how to use the Press-Brake
- · Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel)
Hours
Monday to Thursday. 07:00 - 1600 hours & Friday 07:00 13:00 hours.
